Today we have finally launched the new Alvaana site. We've created about 4 different sites before launching now but each time we ended up with not enough time to finish.
With this set-up we've chosen to keep it simple and very manageable at first until we find the time or need to add extra pages. The site is a two page site, one Dutch and one English page with keywords and short paragraphs of text to explain what we do.
The contact form is given a prominent place and it only has the bare minimum amount of fields needed to get in touch.
The site is xhtml strict valid and we payed much attention to accessibility like headings that render in the correct order. The site works fine with css, images or javascript turned off.
We think it looks great and does what it needs to do.

Joomla!'s template system is unlike stated sometimes by people without the proper knowledge, very powerful, flexible but still simple. The amount of power lies largely in the hands of the developer working on the template.

One of the most forgotten or ignored "features" of a website is the print page. Many times a print page is not even considered to be part of building a web-site and in that case it is up to the designer or front-end developers mood to create printer friendly pages or not
Not is probably the most common answer because it takes time and it's simply not part of the scope of the project while in realty it should be.
